fern - love the turban. but whats with the white skin!
i think i want to pat the falcon
how was the 4x4'ing? quadbiking! snowboarding indoors! looks awesome.
what was the burj al arab like? i've always wanted to go in and have a geez. was it worth it?
did you like langkawi?
haha white skin, yes, what did you expect That turban was actually comfortable for some reason... they ambushed us and put them on us, and tried the hard sell, i shut them down!!!
Yeah the falcon was cool, i patted it... the guy had it tied down to his stick thing...
the dune bashing in the 4x4 was awesome, they thrash those things, had me holding on a few times.... they know how to drive in the dunes! the quadbiking was ok, that was just around a circuit, not free riding over dunes....
The Burj al arab ( worlds only 7 star hotel for those who don't know ).... very nice, what you'd expect. You normally can't get in there unless you have a room (2000usd/night at least) or book dinner (300 bucks each).... we got in because tashs dad used to work in dubai and was friends with the guy who is now head of marketing and tourism for dubai government... he got us in there and a tour around the place and a room. Each bloody floor has its own receptionist so you can land on the helipad and then check in on your floor. Lots of gold in there, they recon all the gold was real gold, who knows.... the 2bedroom apartment we got shown was bigger than our house!
Langkawi we didn't think that much of.... we prefered thailand to langkawi..... |

yep for sure... the guy who hooked us up had a brand new merc S600 - twin turbo v12.... 400k AUD.
Burj wouldn't be worth paying 300 bucks to get in, just another hotel, fancy one but still...

Photos with the Kazakh team look good, as does all of Dubai really! Looks like you guys got some special treatment.
How was the snowboarding indoors, looks like a fun novelty but the mountain looks too flat & easy to ski.

Snowboarding indoors wasn't bad actually. I didn't think the run was that flat, it wasn't a hard run, but i don't think a 'hard' run makes it fun, thats skier think (sorry paulie).... fun is generated from the layout of the run, ie it had a couple of nice rollers to play around on, few rails, couple of hits (that were closed tho)...
It was good for 2 hours.... would be good with some friends for something to do every now and then.....
